Look in Edit/Preferences/Mail & Newsgroups/Notifications. There you
will find several preferences for notifying you of new messages as they
com in from your mail server. You can even add a custom mail sound, I
would suggest using a .wav file for Windows systems.
The above will be true if the SM developers have not removed these
preferences.
