I enjoy using Seamonkey I like the totality of the suite. I'm using
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.I have SM 2.8 & I'm encouraged to download 2.13.1 which
I've done (to /****/****/Downloads) I extract the file but then what?...
I appreciate this a very basic request but I don't think I canbe the
only one.

I have my SeaMonkey in a folder named applications.

My process is to download to /home/wls*****/Downloads.

Then cut and paste the file into my /home/wls*****/applications folder,
where I extract it, creating the seamonkey folder.

Then create a desktop launcher.

You can run SeaMonkey from a console window by running the seamonkey
executable by typing Downloads/seamonkey/./seamonkey.

However it is easier to run from a launcher in your Applications window
on your desktop. I don't know Ubuntu, so can't tell you how to create
that launcher.

Thanks for your advice, I so much appreciate the effort of a volunteer community.¡¡FLOREAT SEAMONKEY!!
