Ah... got it. Doesn't work on _Windows_ for me. Same result with Thunderbird 25b (including from Word, OpenOffice.org and LibreOffice as W3BNR (73's) pointed out. However, it does work with OpenOffice.org and LibreOffice on linux - because you can define your mail client directly in the application.
