Seamonkey incorrectly displays web pages specifying correctly this charset with
<meta content="text/html; charset=IBM850" http-equiv="Content-Type">
in the page head (or with any of its legal aliases: CP850, 850, ...)
The same is true for any other IBM85x encodings.

One has to manually choose the IBM-850 encoding from the Seamonkey View menu to display such a page correctly.

The above meta line was actually produced by the Seamonkey HTML editor itself, after I started with a new page, selected the above encoding, added some text and Saved As the page.
