This is a known issue, but the trigger is unknown.
You need to openabout:config in the browser and look for one of your
accounts that has been flagged as invalid (mail.server.serverX.valid =
false, where X is a number). The fix involves changing the value of that
key to true or to delete the problem account. Once that's cleaned up,
you should be able to use the account wizard as usual.
The irony is that the only email account which had the variable set to
'false'
was actually the 'news.mozilla.org' newsgroup account.
I changed the variable to 'true'. re-loaded seamonkey, and the account
manager wizard
was working good as new again, i.e. when i went to make a new account i
had all options again:
1. Email account
2. Blogs and news feeds
3. News group account.
