Well, this is pretty much the definition of a "session cookie,"
isn't it? A cookie that expires when you "end the session" = "close
the program," right? If you don't want them to expire, don't end
the session = don't close the program.
Or don't visit a site that uses session cookies...
(I never did understand some people's love affair with cookies...)
But, Paul, I've tried changing the prefs to default, hopping that
might make the cookies permanent, but noooo.
So, SM *is* acting as the cookies are set up .... it's just that
that's not how I want it to operate .... now!!
AFAIK you can't make a session cookie last longer by changing prefs.
Some posters here have advised making the SM file containing cookies
read-only, but I'm not sure an expired cookie that survives by such
means would still work. Of course, a session cookie doesn't have an
explicit expiration date/time, so perhaps it would.
Hey, good point, Paul, I do remember making my cookies file Read-Only
many many moon ago, but now they are wrapped up in places.sqlite aren't
they!!
How do I go about changing cookie things now??
