I just established a new filter for one of my NG's and used the following steps:

1. Create new filter on users name and with action to delete the message.

2. Exit SM

3. Open SM

4. Select the NG in question

5. Click on Tools

6. Click on "Run filter on Folder"

In about 5 seconds all of the posts with the user name in the filter are
deleted. I don't think 2. and 3. are necessary but I did it to be on the save
side. Once the "Run filter on Folder" is successful, I never see any more
existing or future posts from the designated A&^%hole :-)
