SeaMonkey no longer seems to take file associations from the operating system and copy them to the Helper Applications section of Preferences. Why is that? When I made a new profile for a new version of SeaMonkey, I found only about half a dozen entries in that area, whereas there were more than 50 in the old one. I had to copy mimeTypes.rdf from the old profile and put it into the new one to get my file associations back for SeaMonkey. Why is there no way to add file types to Helper Applications if it has been crippled in some manner?
