When I go to https://www.theonion.com/ I first see the page as normal,
then after about 1 second all the text disappears. None of the other

Disabling AdBlocker Plus has no effect.

I do not see this problem with either The Onion (if I enable all images
and enable HTML5 Media) or Gas Buddy.
I do, with the same system as yours, and Mark B's solution works.
