Yesterday Comcast acknowledged that they did make a change on 10/3. The change affects emails sent through 3rdparty app, e.g.,SeaMonkey, Thunderbird, etc. They had forgotten to inform their troubleshooter techs about this. I passed the fix to one of their techs on 10/14. She acknowledged that she had just been told about the 5.1.0 error problem and was delighted to hear about the solution. Yesterday my wife received an email from Comcast telling her about the issue and its fix. Interesting that they having bothered sending it to me. Thanks again stango.
