How do you INSERT "ui.submenuDelay set to 800" in about:config ?
Where is the Config file ?
DB
The Config file contains (some of) the preferences which determine how
the program will operate. Some prefs are 'hidden' but the main,
adjustable, ones are stored in a file called 'prefs.js' and you can get
to those settings via the SeaMonkey browser screen by entering
'about:config' in the address bar.
You will then get a screen advising you that you can really stuff
SeaMonkey up if you do things wrong. If you accept the warning, the
screen will then display a great list of preferences that you can, if
you want, change or add to.
The Preference names can be somewhat cryptic, but EE has given you one
to add ....
1. Right click anywhere in the screen and select 'New' -> String
2. Call it "ui.submenuDelay set to 800" (with-out the inverted commas)
as EE suggested
3. On the next sub-screen, enter the 800 that EE recommends
4. Click O.K.
5. Reboot SeaMonkey
You should be O.K., then, but can change the 800 (greater or Lessor) if
needed.
Note: the properties listed on the 'about:config' screen will have a
'Status' of either " *default* " (i.e. as set when the program was
installed) or " *user set* " if you, the User, had changed the setting.
