Karin,
You can set it up to edit "on the fly." Go into Layout Mode and go to
the layout with the field you want to modify. Right click on the field
you want to modify. Select Field Format. You will see, below the Pop
Up definitions a check box that allows you to select "Edit..." in the
Pop-Up list. Click this and close. Now, when entering data, you can
add or delete items in the list.
Alternatively, the Field Format screen will tell you what the name of
the Value List in question. Once determining that, go to File -> Define
-> Value Lists and select the list you want to modify. This will allow
you to modify the list without danger of someone deleting a value that
is in use (which can wreak havoc with your data).
Oh, and always back up before making modifications in case you mess
something up.
