Are you doing the query from the Names file or the Paymnts file?  (Are you hitting the 
Query button from the opening screen or from the payment entry screen?)

I assume you're talking about the Research field.  If so, there are two ways to do 
this.  The research field does exist in the Query screen (again, you need to be in the 
Query screen in Names, not Paymnts).  It's just a pull-down list, not a checkbox 
group.  Or, go to Data Entry Screen 2 and hit the Find button.
