In trying to help someone with a member status problem, I've discovered
an apparent bug in v.1.02.
If I enter a membership duration of 6 months for one of my old payment
records and a grace period of 3 months, I get a status of Lapsed when I
should get a status of Expired. The grace period for this record should
have ended on 8/29/00, and that is reflected in the Grace and Expire
Dates on the Payment Entry screen. Yet the Home, Payments, View
Payments, etc. screens say the member is lapsed, not expired as it
should. Since the dates used for establishing the member status are
correct, it seems like the problem should be in the Find Mbr Status
calculation, yet that seems OK to me.
I wonder if someone else can verify this bug and let me know what they
find. Also, if you find the bug, any ideas where the problem lies? I
don't have much time to track this down.
