What you're looking for is the FileMaker function, "Modify Last
Find". You get there one of two ways...

If you have used the Query button for the first find, just click it
again. You'll be offered the choice of Creating a new find request
(starting over) Keeping the current requst (repeating the last find)
or Modifying the current request (add criteria to tighten or extend
your selection. Sounds like what you want to do is extend your found
set, so you click the yellow "Add new request" button and enter
additional find criteria.

Or, if you are using the gray Find button, call the script "Modify
Last Find" from the scripts menu. Add a new find request with the
script New Find Request and enter additional criteria there.

More on Finding and Sorting records in the FileMaker manual.
