Well, it just sends it out as a MAPI object, so you need to have a MAPI-enabled email
client or server running (or executable). If you don't, Filemaker will not recognize
the fact.

So you're saying that you've never gotten an email to work through ebase? Sounds like
an email client issue, not a Filemaker or ebase issue.

In that case, go into Eudora, click on Tools>Options, and scroll down to MAPI. In the
MAPI options, make sure the setting for "Use Eudora MAPI server" is not set to
"Never". The difference between "always" or "While Eudora is running", is that
"Always" will pop up Eudora if you send an email from FMP, even if it's not already
open. I'm using Eudora v3, newer versions may have different lingo, but the setting
options should be more or less the same.

Let me know if this works.

HTH,
Matt

PS Oh, and in general it's good to post your replies back to the list, so that others
can learn from your work. Unfortunately, the listserv doesn't insert a "Reply To"
address into the emails (never seen one that didn't, but that's another story...) so
if you hit reply it will go back to me instead of the whole list. So just type in
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" when you reply.
