Guess it 'tis the season. Your best bet is to restore the damaged files (or, just to be safe, all of the ebase files) from your most recent backup. Unfortunately, FileMaker stores both data and structure in the same file. So for any file other than the ebase.1x file (which does not hold user data) copying in the replacement file will give you a working file with no data. Restated - "Your best bet is to restore the damaged files from your most recent backup". If you don't have a good backup, ;-( You are in for a lot of work. You will need use the FileMaker export function to export data from any problematic ebase file other than ebase.1x to an new file (fm or mer) then use the FileMaker import (field name to fieldname match) function to import the data into the new file (preferablely a recent clone of your ebase to keep any customizations - or if that is not available, a new copy of the ebase file). And you will need to reset the Record Number counter in names.1x if you have replaced names.1x with a reloaded file. You can find more info on this process on the ebase website and in the ebase.103 administrators manual. If you find this a bit more than you feel comfortable with, you might see if one of the ebase consultants listed on the ebase website might be able to help.
