I am posting this to support for suggestions about what I may have missed. This is a thread by Larry, he has two problems - one -he for some reason though subscribed cannot send mail to the support list and - two - He has FileMaker Pro but he has not been able to get to Layout and other "advanced functions". If by "> You got it!" you mean that what I described is exactly what is happening then "Huston we have a problem". As a cross check, (given you did a standard FileMaker install) when you open FileMaker rather than going on to ebase - choose to create one of the demo templates that come with FileMaker and once that is loaded see if you can get to the Layout Mode in that. If that fails then you probably have a problem in FileMaker. Unfortunately we are approaching the end of what long distance trouble shooting can do. If we can't resolve it in the next few rounds you are probably best advised to find a local FileMaker consultant or ebase consultant to look at your installation. In all probability in a few min someone on site will say "oh, it's this" and you will be working where we could spend ages trying to find it by email or phone.
