If you check the log file you probably will see a reason to why the node
goes transient on you (close to the beginning).

But.. If I should take a guess.. You are running the node on an NAT:ed
computer? If you you have to tell the node the IP of the internet-side of
the router (the ipAddress=XXX param in the config file). You also have to
tell the router/NAT:in machine to port-forward TCP traffic to the node:s
listenPort (can also be found in the config file).

Dont forget to remove the '%' comment character from the ipAddressLine in
the config file.
