Okay. Thanks for taking the trouble to tell us. I am not sure exactly what the problem is: Freenet runs at BELOW_NORMAL priority, so even if it does use the CPU heavily (and it shouldn't, most of the time), other applications should get to run first. Generally the causes of heavy CPU usage in Freenet are: - Running out of memory. The settings in wrapper.conf determine how much memory Freenet can use, and if it is approaching the limit it can end up using a lot of CPU to try to scavenge the last few bytes. The solution is to increase the limit. We have some code for auto-detection but it's not deployed yet, sorry. - Filesharing.
