I'm quite familiar with the other folks mentioned. As a genealogist, this Ed Howdershelt interests me very much. Could you point me to more information regarding him? One of his cousin seems to have lived a few hundred yards from where my mother was born and raised. And I've heard the surname (and several variants) since I was perhaps eight to ten years of age.
