Okay, I've fixed that but now I'm paranoid about making any changes. So here's my next question.
I've encourage my organization to eliminate the need for pre-printed stationary and envelopes and to incorporate our simple logo and return address into the format of letterhead and envelopes instead. I would like to do the same with the layout in ebase. I did add our logo and address to the layout of a few of the letter layouts and that seems to not have been a problem.
Is there any unforeseen problem if I do the same with the layout for the envelopes?
Shouldn't be any sand traps in adding elements to the letter
layout.
The reason I wonder is that I tried to change the size of the font on the merge fields already on the envelope and it didn't have any effect. It seems to me it shouldn't be a problem if I add a graphic and a text field with our address but would like your feedback first.
Be sure you are changing the layout that gets printed. The
preview layout (Called Envelope #10) is NOT the layout from which the
envelopes get printed. Because of the way printers usually handle
envelopes (endwise) the script called by the print button jumps to
another layout (Envelope - Portrait) before printing. You will want to
add your graphic elements to both layouts.
