Hi All,

We have just funished inputing all our data on version 1.02 runtime (about
4000 records and 11 years of payments). We have a copy of FileMaker Pro5
but have not used it yet. I was in the process of upgrading the runtime
from v1.02 to v.103 when I realized that I needed file maker pro using the
v1.03 upgrade instructions.

After looking in the support database I found a note from 30 Jan 2001 by
Cliff Graves explaining how to do the process if you are working only in
the runtime version. We intend eventually to use it under the full FMPro5
software. I only caught this after I already exported all the merge files
from 1.02 runtime and imported the names file into v1.03 and could do the
last step (I got to all the files by switching to multiuser in v1.02). So
much for the intro info here are my three questions:

1) Can I use the merge files created from the runtime of 1.02 to import
into 1.03 if I active 1.03 under filemaker pro 5?

2) Is it worth the effort for me at this time to move from v1.02 to v1.03
or should I just activate 1.02 on filemaker pro 5 and stay with that?

3) Are there any other things I should know or watch as I go through this
process?
