Valerie,
Member level is assigned automatically based on the levels you set in
the Setup Wizard and the amount of the donation under Dues. Only Dues
donations are assigned a member level, and if you ever change the member
levels or their labels through the setup wizard, only new donations will
be assigned the new levels. Old donations retain their old levels
(unless you "Update Level" for each record - which I don't recommend
doing). This is not a bad thing since you don't want to call someone
who gave $50 ten years ago a "regular member" if, at the time, that
person would have been considered a "partner."
