Is there any way to change 'nonmodifiable fields' to 'modifiable fields'?
My question:
The field, member level, at times doesn't default to major donors when a donor has given over $100, so when I want to go in and correct this, I can't. Why? or how can I?
It is possible to change the field definition, but you really
don't want to change the value of this field. It's a lookup field, the
value calculated from the last Dues payment and the member levels you
specified in the setup wizard. If you were to change the value, it
would be overwritten the next time you ran the Replace All Find Fields
script to update the Fast Find Fields.
So the question becomes, why does it "at times" not
default to the value you expect?
Do your run the Replace All Find Fields script regularly to
update the Fast Find Fields? (see chapter 4 in the user manual)
Have you specified the member level values you use in the setup
wizard (see pg 2-18ff in the admin manual)
