Hello,

The other day I must have inproperly shut down ebase and so when it was
restarted I was told that "names_" was damaged and could not be opened. It
told me to do use the "recover" command and so, not knowing any better, I
did. Now once I had used the "recover" I tried to open our database again.
This time it said it could not open "names_" (because it was damaged) and
it asked me to find the file. Instead of opening "names_" I opened
"names_RE" (this was the name of the recovered file) and it seemed to work
fine. I also was told at this point to "recover" the file called
"summary_" and so I did the same thing with that file. Now, every time I
opened our database it was asking me to find these files for it (it was
still looking for the files "names_" and "summary_" instead of the
recovered files ("names_RE" and "summaRE") So what I did, in a effort to
avoid having to locate these everytime our database was opened, was I
moved the damaged files out of the ebase folder and renamed the recovered
files to match the names expected by the program. So now I have the
recovered files renamed from "names_RE" and "summaRE" to "names_" and
"summary_" This seemed to work and I was quite happy with myself for
having eluded potential disaster. Now here is my problem (sorry this is
such a long note). As I am using my database at this point, an error
message pops up whenever I try to add a record. When I click on the "Add
Name" button it pops up a window which says "The record was not added
correctly; you must now run the Create Related Records script. From now
on, only add records by using the Add Name button. Click Yes now and go
run the script." It then gives me a Yes button and a No button. When I
tried to use "run the Create Related Record script" nothing apparent seems
to happen. My question is if anyone out there knows where my problem is
and knows what I can do about it. I'm confused because it is telling me to
hit the "Add Name" button every time I hit the "Add Name" button and that
just dosn't make any sense.

Thank you to anyone who has actually read this and I would really
appreciate any help you can give.

ps. please don't tell me I have to recover from our backup, it was about a
week ago and there have been about 300 new entries since then.
