>On the Home screen at the bottom, there are several find fields listed >such as Membership Status, Exp. Date, and Level. Instead of the current >level, I would like to see the current Membership Type field from the Dues >section of the payments file. Is it safe to switch this field out? It's safe in the sense that it won't have hidden repercussions, but there are other effects. The Dues relationship is sorted by post date and time, so you will see the value of the field Membership type from the most recent payment coded as Dues. I presume that's what you need. Second, since Membership Type is a related field, not a look-up Fast Find Field, it won't be indexed in the names file. Searches and sorts using this field will take lots longer than using the Fast Find fields. Not much of an effect if you have hundreds of records, but if you have thousands, it could take significantly longer. -- -- Dave Shaw H4 Consulting tel: 206-954-7526 fax: 206-625-1338 ------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------
