To add to Walt's reply, some groups have more than one entity, i.e. a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and a 501(c)(4) organization to conduct lobbying activities and/or a PAC. Contributions made to these entities have to be kept separate, and having an Account Entity field makes that easy to do in ebase.
