Hi Support Group,

I have two questions as a version 1.03 user with FileMaker Pro installed.

1) Household Salutation Field

A question was asked recently that I never saw a response to but would like to know the answer. Is there any way to change code so that you can make adjustments to the Household Salutation field without changing the names of the Household? In other words make it editable after the calculation? Where it screws up is, as an example, when I have members with different last names or one has a hyphenated name.

2) Using the "Head or Not In Household" Function Eliminates More Than the Dups

I did a FIND that was based on the total Contributions over a time period. When I got that figure I then sorted for people who had contributed over $1500 during that period. My desire was to send each HOUSEHOLD that had a member that contributed $1500 or more a special thank you without sending them more than one thank you.

I had a few instances where John and Joan Johnson were a part of a HOUSEHOLD and John was the HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD but Joan gave the $1500. I used the QUERY screen sorting for >=$1500 and check YES to HEADS or NOT IN HOUSEHOLDS. What I expected was that any household that had one or more people that fit the $1500 criteria would show up in the FIND. Not so. What showed up was only the HEADS of households or the individuals not in households that met the criteria, the secondary people in a household were eliminated regardless of contribution amount. In the case I described above, neither Joan nor John appeared. Is there someway to change the function here so these types would not be eliminated?

Is anyone tracking along with my story here?

Thanks,
David Rodgers
