What is the purpose of the code rule: " VPN_IPSEC_CONFIGURE(TRUE); ", in /etc/rc.newwanip?? Is this rule used by the dhclient (see error below)? (can this be the reason of are failing dhclient?) The reason why I' am asking this is that when I remove the rule are IPSEC vpn tunnels are more stable then with this rule?

The only thing that has changed is FreeBSD. If you get a chance please test this on a stock FreeBSD install and see if the problem occurs there.
