What does that mean?
It means we allowed an option on the front side that PF didn't
support. I caught it while I was looking at code for something else
and removed it so it wouldn't cause me to spend any time answering
questions on why it didn't work.
Anyway, I have been watching the lists/groups and people are saying that
after the particular version that we are running that the shaper doesn't
work with bridging enabled, and that it would be reincorporated at some
future point. I can't upgrade this customer to release 1.0 or 1.0.1 if
it is known that the traffic shaper won't work with bridging, and I
would really like to upgrade them.
When can we expect that to work again?
Glad it works for them. Shaping has never been known to work with
bridging. It's not that it _doesn't_ work, it's more that it wasn't
coded in such a way to be fully compatible. It'll shape something in
some direction, but I make no guarantees as to what and which.
