We have resolved our little packet loss issue.
The problem ended up being as issue with freebsd/openbsd. The
net.inet.ip.portrange.randomized setting was resulting in ports being re-used
prior to MSL timeout. Resulting in the connection being rejected.
Happy to say not a pfsense problem.
How much traffic are you pushing? Perhaps this needs to be an
advanced tunable option.
