Hello!
Two questions about client FTP access from LAN to WAN:
**** With pfSense 1.0.1 (6 NIC box) I disabled FTP-Proxy Helper Application
in each interface and at console I can see:
# ps -aux | grep pftpx
proxy 10495 0.0 0.2 656 496 ?? Ss 8:40PM
0:00.99 /usr/local/sbin/pftpx -c 8021 -g 8021 192.168.XXX.1
root 24713 0.0 0.4 1464 952 p0 R+ 8:05PM 0:00.01 grep pftpx
where 192.168.XXX.1 is my LAN interface.
Is it normal?
Yes.
*** If I active FTP-Proxy Helper and I put a rule to authorise the LAN
traffic to 127.0.0.1, FTP access is allways done with default gateway (WAN).
It's no possible to redirect FTP Proxy to other WAN (OPT1 or OPT2), no mater
witch gateway I put in the rule for 127.0.0.1.
FAQ. FTP does not work with multi-wan.
The same occurs for my other LANs (OPT3 and OPT4) if I activate FTP Proxy
Helper there and I put a rule for 127.0.0.1 in each one.
Is FTP-Proxy Helper limited from any LAN to default WAN ?
No. Please visit the forum and faq and search on FTP. I am somewhat
exhausted from talking about it.
