-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
I'm running 1.2RC2 and trying to set my pfSense box as a headless server, so I thought checking "Enable Serial Console" would be a good idea. I guess I was wrong :) Now my system doesn't boot. It hangs after F1 for default boot: I've managed to bring it up using install cd. My guess is that it is due to loader.conf corruption that took place when I hit the "Save" button. I know nothing about BSD loader, so I need some help here please. I'm familiar with grub though, but that one is gone now. I had a look at the loader.conf on the install CD, and mine is nothing like it. I've ended up with only two entries there: autoboot_delay="1" console="comconsole" So can anyone please help me with: 1. Tell me if that is a reasonable loader.conf, and if not email me /point me to where can I find one 2. If that's not the problem how can I restore boot sector? 3. I see heaps of garbage when I do less on my system.log after the end of what's logged. Is that normal, or a sign of hd corruption?
