It would have to be treated as a modem, which pfSense traditionally hasn't supported. This has actually driven us to use a custom build of openwrt for such applications.
I haven't looked in quite some time, but most of the pieces should be there (since PPPoE is), it's just a matter of putting them together into a coherent package & configuration UI.
