Here is what I have for a design spec. Pardon the Cisco icons. Does anyone see a problem with this configuration and if anyone has the time, could you possibly give me an XML config that I could load up to achieve this with a single pfSense firewall. I can do the CARP, NAT and Firewall myself, however, I'm still having problems with the VLAN config. I would like the LAN interface to be VLAN1. Please let me know if you have any questions, or if I missed something.
Curtis, this is quite easy to do. I manage two similar configs with 5 and 7 internal vlans respectively. During the first boot, define the VLANs on top of the physical interface BEFORE you assign your LAN. If you have already installed pfSense, use the '(assign)' option of the Interfaces menu: first define your VLANs if the appropriate TAB, then you can re-assign your logical interfaces (LAN, WAN, OPTxx) choosing among all the physical and virtual interfaces. Hope this helps, Angelo. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
