I am having somewhat the same problem here... I cannot simulate, but
some of my users are experiencing the same problem.
I don't have pfSense as a PPTP server however, I use the forwarding
function of pfSense - to forward PPTP requests to a Windows 2003 server...
The users are having timeouts on this link, but they do not disconnect -
nor they have to reconnect... it simply works again after a few minutes...
I already tried opening TCP/1723 manually to my Windows PPTP server, but
this only made things worse... (it then wouldn't connect no more!)
