[pfSense Support] Streaming characters while install AFTER installed to HD

After booting from the live cd, and then installing to the HD, it starts to boot, bios goes by then bsd looks like its gonna boot, but then characters just stream the page really fast.  It booted fine from the CD obviously since i installed it from the CLI.  I tried installing in single proc, and dual proc, as it is a dual opteron.  it has a tyan K8sr mobo.  not sure if this is a hardware issue or i need to disable/enable something in the bios.
