hail,

I'm using 1.2.3-RC1 and have some problems in using pfsense. my system is:

DSLmodem -- rue0 (pfsense) vr0 --- lan

but when connected using pppoe, all I can use in pfsense is wan, ng0. I
need to read some snmp oids in the modem, and there is a network for this.
but I can't get there, as the pfsense gui looks at this as wan, and the IP
is from ng0 (public ip) and can't talk to the modem. if I use virtual ips,
those will live on ng0 (as tcpdump show in here public_ip -> modem ip) and
this won't work.

is there any way to solve this ? I used ssh to run ifconfig alias on rue0,
and although ping is ok the nat rule from lan to it is not.

any ideas are welcome.

thanks,

matheus
