I'm new to this list and also to pfsense.
I'm interested in running pfsense for my firewall+routing and vpn for my home
systems. I would like to know if the following configuration is possible with
pfsense:

----------> |netgate 3e 2d3|-----> mirrored traffic
wan in |______________| dmz from wan to linux w/snort which
(cable modem) | is also ftp server
|
---------> providing nat w/dhcp to ap for
lan a few wireless devices
In short I need pfsense to provide vpn tunnels to the wan (just one really),
mirror traffic to the dmz/ids and nat/dhcp to an ap w/ a normal load of 3
devices. Additionally I'm looking for ingress as well as egress filtering for
the lan. Can pfsense do this, and will the 500mhz geode processor in the
netgate 3e 2d3 perform ok for this kind of application?
