I often wondered why not make this a plugin -
but sadly I am not a programmer

I can see its value for sure however - especially w/ a nice interface.
It might actually give splunk a run for its money ;-) --- ok back to bed so I can dream ;-)

We have it running on a few however - and it is priceless and well worth running

Hello,

I have configured couple of devices for clients based on large disk size (160 Go or 250Go) - I would like to know if It is possible to increase the size of the "clog" limit for log rotation… or if it is possible to entirely remove the clog system and get back to newsyslog log rotation principle…

I am asking that because for legal purposes some of these clients have to keep a minimum of 1 or 2 years of log archive.

Some people in that scenario install syslog-ng on the firewall and
syslog to 127.0.0.1. Requires a little manual hacking to set it up but
not bad.
