I don't know. That would be a question for
Daniel or another member of the list.
Sorry I can't help more.

Ok... do you know if there's any file in which to specify
the charset to use?
2008/10/30 Michael Secord <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
I believe it's something to do with the
special characters in the path name.

It works if i move the whole folder to the
root path.

If
you move the PidginPortable Directory to
I:\PidginPortable and try to run it from there, does it give you the
same error?

is what i get
from the debug window, when trying to save a new account:

Which
file are you using to start pidgin, in
what directory?

in
the
question?
thanks

one
Ivan

Are you actually using the Portable
version
of pidgin from portableapps.com or are you using the version
modified
from pidgin.im?
-Michael
Hi guys, I've been using the Pidgin IM for a
while, this
issue is been there since 6 months or so, but I haven't tried to look
for any solution to it until today
I 'm using the portable version of Pidgin 2.5.2, the issue goes like
this:
Each time I open pidgin, i need to enter my account info (user, psswd),
I remember Pidgin is able to save the account info and stores it in a
file (accounts.xml), I looked into this file in the
PortableApps\PidginPortable\Data\settings\.purple path, this file seems
like has not been touched in months (the nicknames are not the current
ones i've been using).
I think there's some misconfiguration in some other file, I hope you
guys can help me out with this.
By the way, I'd like to congratulate you for the excellent work you
have been doing developing this IM client, keep up the good work and
hope in a near the users would be able to see webcam support.
Thanks in advance and have a nice weekend!
Cheers!
