You need to updated to 2.5.7.  This fixes the issue.

Starting a couple of days ago I’ve been seeing both version 5.5. and 5.6 never completing connecting to Yahoo.  This is true for a dozen people in my group in several locations.

 

The status just sits there shows “connecting”.  The log doesn’t seem to get updated.

 

So we are all dead in the water.
