As far as I can tell from the source code, it follows standard Windows conventions, and uses ShellExecute to open URLs, so all you have to do is to make Firefox your default browser, in Windows.
Note, in particular, that this means that Pidgin has no idea which browser will be launched.
in house database that my employees often send me links to so that I can see what they are seeing. Everytime that I click one, it opens an Internet Explorer window. Can I set it to use firefox?
