I know I've seen other people setup Facebook chat with pidgin so I
know it's possible, but Facebook is not in the drop down menu when I try
to set up a new account, so what do you I do? I would really like to
have both MSN and Facebook integrated in one place.

Dang Paul, that was really smart of whoever set that up on Facebook. It
replaced Casey Ho's setup in spades.
When you click the "Pidgin" link on the Facebook page, a panel pops up
telling just how to configure Pidgin in 3 steps. The only
thing the user needs to remember is their password.
I'm impressed...but not enough to see that Facebook (aka "The Social
Network") movie coming out.
