I can't say exactly what you did, but you probably want to remove the getdeb.net sources.list entries and run: sudo apt-get -f install If that doesn't do it, you'll have to seek help elsewhere, as this isn't a Pidgin question. And again, as far as 2.7.7 goes, I'm still working on getting that uploaded to the PPA. Richard
