According to google, this info is available on 3 places on pidgin.im websites
and once in the nabble.com archive.

So pidgin people can remove 3/4 of the occurance of this information on the web.
They can also ask nabble to remove their copy (they have an automated service 
for that).

It would help by effectively removing this information from the public.

Or they can do nothing.
