Hey Pidgin Support,
after running into the same problem multiple times by now (the last time
caused severe trouble with my girlfriend...) I do request a feature:
I am one of those guys that do not save their passwords and type them
every time they log in. Every once in a while I mistype the password,
but Pidgin behaves like everything went fine (the login window
disappeares, leaving only the usual "green light" icon in the tray).
After several hours of wondering how nobody would write to me, I open up
the buddy list (it usually starts minimized) and detect the problem:
mistyped password.
Because error message boxes are somewhat ugly: why not put something
like a red 'X' as the system tray icon or show a notification right
inside the login window if the login failed?
