Hello, my first post here.
I just successfully installed and configured Pidgin (libpurple 2.10.9)
along with plugins, among them
- purple-hangouts
- libpurple-bin
- telegram-purple
- purple-skypeweb.
on a Ubuntu 14.04 Desktop LTS install.
Next to that I use Thunderbird as mail engine. Thunderbird has a Unity
bar indicator in the shape of a small white envelope icon, that turns
blue when new mail has arrived.
After Pidgin installation, I found that its Unity bar indicator is the
same as that of Thunderbird on my system. I.e. clicking on it make a
scroll down menu appear with Pidgin and status items, followed by Tb items.
Is this normal ? Can I separate the two indicators by configuring Pidgin
? If so how ?
