AIM file transfers not working

I've emailed about this once before but didn't get any responses, so I'm 
really hoping someone can help me this time, cos it's a really 
frustrating problem. I got a new computer a year ago and ever since I 
installed Pidgin on this computer AIM file transfers don't work. I can 
send them, but when friends try to send them to me, I don't see a window 
asking me to accept the transfer. Any ideas for what's causing this problem?
